Aqueous art is the artistic works of Dr. Tony Taylor, an eminent scientist who invented a revolutionary new method for painting pictures called Morphed Entropy. His invention uses the natural chaos (Entropy) of fluid dynamics to create realistic images (Morphs) from a mass of swirling colours that eye-blend at a distance to form the picture.

Nature is composed of chaos assembled into forms, so Morphed Entropy is an ideal technique for capturing many of the features of natural subjects, such as geology, gas, flames and fluids: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.  In so, Morphed Entropy is composed of the common element to each of the four elements: Chaos.

The works displayed here are a compilation of the works of Dr. Tony Taylor since he invented Morphed Entropy© in 1989.  They are composed of acrylic fabric-printing inks that are heat cured to render them exceptionally durable compared to other acrylics.  Several works have been displayed for 18 years in the artist's home, without any protective coatings or glass, and have been washed with bleach solution and ethanol to clean them, without significant loss of image quality.
